BUTCH | QUEEN

Recently, I was over to a good friends house visiting him and his lover and the topic arose about the 'IT GETS BETTER' Campaign. Now, I personally believe that it is doing something good in letting the youth of America out there know that life does not end and begin at Junior High / High School and even though right now you feel like you can't survive the bullying... Life does get better, just hang in there. That's what I believe the campaign is all about. My friend, however, feels that the campaign for the most part is leaving out a lot of shit. Like, how it eventually does getter, but you still have to face those bullies everyday and everyday their main goal is to make your life a living hell. I guess we could say that. He wants us to say that bullies don't begin and end in school and the truth is, they don't. I have had bullies on my jobs, at friends houses, out and about in daily life. But guess what, that is life and life is not all peaches and cream but my life is so much better now than it ever was in school. Now, I know who I am, I know my strengths and I embrace me and that gives me the power to go out into this world every day and conquer it. So yes, the campaign might me a little light sided on giving the whole truth of how life really is... but at least its a start!
